The Ruscus Aculeatus L. is a small shrub from 30 to 80 cm. dark green, native to the eastern European zone. In Europe it currently grows mainly in the south of the continent.

The main pharmacological action that it presents is an anti-inflammatory and venotonic action (it strengthens the walls of the veins to favor the return of blood). highly beneficial for people suffering from varicose veins and hemorrhoids.

Anti-inflammatory and venotonic properties: Ruscus extracts act on alpha and beta adrenergic receptors, causing a contraction of the venous vessels. This effect has been verified experimentally.
